Thanks for finding and sharing this! I moved to LA in 1979 (at 18) and the Blue Parrot was my first gay bar that I went to (probably in 1980).
Good to hear from you and hopefully brought back some great memories. I found tat piece well done and quite the unintended historical piece.
my first gay bar in WeHo at 21. met the door man and we became close friends that night. it turned into 2 years of insane fun times. then I had to return to seattle and continue the books. good friends and good memories.
