I am unable to Thank You enough for your strength and courage.
Fearsome celebrates 2,000 days of continuous sobriety on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.
If we don’t hop out of the nest, how do we know what’s out there waiting for us?
Get up. Get out. Discover. Fly!
Let’s all make Mother Earth proud and get out and March!
Fearsome is ready.
Or given the march…
Whatever Fearsome decides to wear doesn’t matter because Science is real. Even according to a certain book with parables from some 2000 years ago, humans are directed to be a Shepard, good Shepards, of the home given us. We must take care our blessings and not exploit those blessings. We all live here. We all must share. Let us be good stewards of the gifts we have received that we may share them with each other and most of all …those yet to come.
Stand up, speak out, do good and do right.
Happy 420 y’all!
420? Light up time. Mary Jane. Cannabis. Marijuana.
Now I ain’t smoke no Mary Jane in well over 5 years. When I got meeself sober, I got sober. I wasn’t really into the gonja later in my years of partaking mind altering substances any way. I preferred the booze. I did smoke pleanty of weed though. First time I smoked was at age 13 at a Doobie Brothers concert. I shit you not. In my twenties I smoked most every day. Only in the evenings though as I had work to get done during the days. Later on in my forties I lost interest in the stuff as it pretty much only made me paranoid by that point, so it lost its lure.
Nowadays it’s being legalized left and right. My home state just legalized it in November. I actually voted to legalize it even though I’m a sober dude. My view is that marijuana being illegal only creates more crime, unnecessary crime. Legalize it, regulate it and tax it.
Now about that first Doobie and those incredible artist who I remember from that very first concert….
Needless to say this is a much tamer crowd than that night of my puberty. However the talent of the artists shines through in this live version of a Doobie Brothers classic.
Smoke ’em if you got ’em!
The Kilted Coaches are back at it.
Cheers to building a great ass.
Spring is in full sprung right in my very own back yard!
This tree is native to Mexico and is very drought tolerant making it an excellent landscape tree for Southern California. It has a contorted sculptural growth habit giving it visual interest in the dormant season then bursts into blossom while still leafless giving it the common name of Naked Coral Tree. All other Coral Trees bloom in full foliage.
The hummingbirds are quite territorial and often have spats on and around this particular tree at this time of year. There were several creating chaos with me as I tried to snap a photo. They apparently love it’s nectar as they can often be seen inserting their beaks into the long tubular flowers. This tree blooms from late February into early May, at which time foliage will rapidly replace the flowers almost overnight.
Spring is renewal. Spring is life. Spring is resurrection. Spring is growth. Spring is a new beginning. Spring is fresh. Spring is exciting. Spring is gratifying. Spring is a blessing. Spring is hope.
What spring do you see outside your window at this very moment?
