Languages of the soul

Music.

Humanity communicates in many different forms. We have an intellectual form of communication we consider ‘normal’. Often that ‘normal’ way of communication cannot not be fully comprehended or expressed by all of us. Some of us are different.

Those of us who are different aren’t necessarily less intelligent. A society of care, of good character, understands the need for an appreciation of differences in order to include everyone.

This video struck me out of nowhere today. I stumbled upon it by accident and it moved my soul. It’s a classic from the 1970s. The banjo player is one of the different ones, who is one of us. Through music he can express his intelligence, joy and deep desire to communicate and be a part of.

Today I comtemplate languages and communication in various forms.

Sin and the Soul

Gluttony is often considered a sin.

Is quality time with the family gluttonously snarfing up fresh hot Krispy Kremes a sin? Well that’s for you to decide for yourself, not for me or anyone else.

I haven’t stood in line at a Krispy Kreme store for hot donuts fresh out of the grease in years. It was worth it! All 45 minutes in line. My mom thought we were crazy until that donut melted in her mouth.

I’ve had a great time here in snowy cold Virginia with my family. I didn’t get to see all of them, but the ones I did helped to grow my soul. Fearsome grew a little too. The family bond, the smiles, the love and the laughter enrich us all. I’m so glad I took the time.

Here they come, fresh out of the grease and through the hot glaze.

I love my family. Family, the roots to my soul. Stable roots that help it grow.

Laughter

It’s Sunday evening and it’s been a busy day. I didn’t even get to post one thing until a few moments ago I finally had a moment to get Beard of the day up. Busy is good so that makes it a good day.

I found the Beard of the day pic quite humorous and that got me onto laughter. I believe that laughter is healing. I try to laugh as much as I can but sometimes I still get too serious and have to stop and remind myself to laugh. Laughing at myself will often help in a situation like that.

So as usual when thinking of a post I Googled laughter. Google gets a lot of hits from me, I hope they notice. That big fat Google rewards check would sure come in handy, I mean they do keep track of rewards points….right?

Hopefully one if these quotes will brighten your day and maybe even help make a humdrum Monday better. All you have to do is click to make it larger.

WooHoo!

Laughter is just a smile having an orgasm. Go ahead and treat your beautiful smile to one!
