What a wonderful way to spend day 1 recovering from shoulder surgery than finding kind, supportive and uplifting words from the leaders of our nation,
I am grateful to our leaders for standing up for love, acceptance and diversity.
We here at Fearsome Beard the blog thingy believe in recognizing and even promoting those who we feel are working not only to improve themselves but the world around them.
Yesterday we had the honor of witnessing a break out moment for a rising star of our future. We were so moved by Amanda Gordon that the moment we could find a clip of her poetry reading on YouTube we posted it. Today we learned more about her from Anderson Cooper. We hope to learn lots more about her in the future as we watch her rise into a leader. A leader worth listening to.
She gives us hope.
Well it’s 2021. We are still here.
There is a light at the end of this here tunnel and on this here blog thingy we hope to inspire in the coming year. It is time we got back to our roots, took stock of what we have and commenced to grow into what we wish to become.
Fearsome is still growing, I desire to follow his lead.
John Lennon has always been a leader who inspires me, so I’m handing it to him to kick us off on this very New Year’s Day 2021.

Fearsome and I wish to personally say Thank You to Pete Buttigieg for turning his life upside down during his history making and ground breaking run for President. Pete, you are a role model. We also wish to thank Chasten for his loving support of his husband’s candidacy. Chasten, you are a role model.
We thank you both for living your truth and working to better not only our country but to better the lives for all of it’s citizens.
We know that this isn’t goodbye, but the turning of a page into a new chapter of your life changing inspirational leadership toward a better future. With you two in our world we know it’s gonna be bright!
Today marks the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11.
With Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on board, Apollo 11 would land man on the surface of Earth’s only moon 4 days later on July 20, 1969. This first ever lunar landing is one of my very first memories.
The Apollo mission occurred during one of our country’s most turbulent times some 9 years after one of our greatest presidents set a simple, yet difficult, clear goal with a time limit. Good leaders challenge us to grow, great leaders bring us together. It is only together that we can achieve great things.
In honor of yet another 50th anniversary of history, I post my favorite musical memory of 1969.
🎵Harmony and understanding🎶 🎵Sympathy and trust abounding🎶
Worthy goals for a society. May the lyrics of this 50 year old tune inspire and enlighten our society toward better.

Many attribute the uprising of Stonewall to the drag queens and transgender present the night of the raid 50 years ago. Today much of our leadership is inspired by those same members of our diverse community.
Diversity and acceptance are character qualities I support, admire and strive toward. I applaud those who step up and out, to lead us through living their own truth. It is through their vulnerability that courage and strength are born.
Thank you to Peppermint, Lady Bunny and Sasha Velour for your inspiration and leadership.
If you haven’t yet listened to Mayor Pete here is your chance in a candid, honest and refreshing interview.
Pete Buttigieg, he’s got our attention.
To the families and friends who lost their loved ones in the Parkland shooting, we stand with you on this day.
To the survivors of the Parlkland shooting, you inspire us with you leadership.
To all the youth in high schools throughout this country, take a stand for your future to live in a country that respects life, responsibility and safety over stupidity. The future belongs to you.
Verklempt I am.
Inspired I am.
Courage. Vulnerability. Truth. Grief. Honor.
Leadership. Patriotism. Integrity.
Honesty. Reality. Respect.
Understanding. Cooperation. Humility. Equality. Democracy. Justice. Service.
There is a greater good. Let’s strive toward that.
We reflect with gratitude for the example given to us by Senator McCain as well as that shared by the speakers above.
A good leader is someone who inspires, is honest & humble, has integrity, leads by example, uplifts and serves for betterment of community/humanity. In other words a good leader is someone with good character.
While reading the Washington post this morning I ran across this article about one of our best. It’s worth sharing.
Jimmy Carter, thank you for your integrity, leadership and inspiration.
Warning: Watch out ‘cause we is on a rant.
We have supported these survivors worthy cause. We will continue to support these inspiring leaders of tomorrow. Leaders who are leading our nation out of this tragedy today.

Not one more. We cannot allow one more child to be shot at school. We cannot allow one more teacher to make a choice to jump in front of a firing assault rifle to save the lives of students. We cannot allow one more family to wait for a call or text that never comes. Our schools are unsafe. Our children and teachers are dying. We must make it our top priority to save these lives.
March For Our Lives is created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar. In the tragic wake of the seventeen lives brutally cut short in Florida, politicians are telling us that now is not the time to talk about guns. March For Our Lives believes the time is now.
On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority. The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard.
School safety is not a political issue. There cannot be two sides to doing everything in our power to ensure the lives and futures of children who are at risk of dying when they should be learning, playing, and growing. The mission and focus of March For Our Lives is to demand that a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address these gun issues. No special interest group, no political agenda is more critical than timely passage of legislation to effectively address the gun violence issues that are rampant in our country.
Every kid in this country now goes to school wondering if this day might be their last. We live in fear.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Change is coming. And it starts now, inspired by and led by the kids who are our hope for the future. Their young voices will be heard.
Stand with us on March 24. Refuse to allow one more needless death.
MARCH FOR OUR LIVES!

These days our corporations have had to take the lead on values, morals and respect.
At this moment I’m grateful for Walmart.
I never thought I’d ever write those words. I feel at this moment in history I need to.
