Fearsome Beard 
I love this beautiful collective recording of “Peace Train.” I was a HUGE Cat Stevens fan when I was a teenager in the 70s, so good to see him in this video too.
I still have a couple of his LPs from the 70s. I adored him as a teen.
I too was a massive ‘Cat’ fan – at least for the first few years following the release in 1966 of his ‘Matthew and Son’ which had then immediately put me in utter awe of his songwriting capabilities. Then when I heard that he’d converted to Islam I wrote him off for many years (I was then a ‘devoted’ R.C.!) – and even moreso when I read that he’d refused to condemn the fatwah (which wasn’t QUITE so) against Salman Rushdie for ‘The Satanic Verses’, a novel I still admire. However, in recent years since he’s started to publicly sing again, Yusuf Islam has become more approachable and understanding, and seeks to explain, quite successfully I have to say, his former self – and I can only be pleased that his talent still shines through after all those years in the ‘wilderness’ (my own word!). Good luck to him!
Great video – so it’s a shame that I could hardly decipher a single word that ALL these singers were chanting. Thank heavens for subtitles!
