Words are things.
Words get into you.
Words affect.
Words are powerful.
Be careful of the words you say. Be careful of the words you allow into you, your home and around those you love.
Write only good words, speak only good words, allow only good words and share only good words.
I am not perfect, may I strive toward good whenever I possibly can.
Good starts with me. Good starts right here, right where I am.
Thanks for sharing this. Words are indeed powerful things.
Of all the lectures, presentations and speeches I have ever heard in person, those from Maya Angelou were by far the most sincere, humbling and thought provoking.
I got to hear her at Bill Clinton’s first inauguration, that beautifully full voice of hers shimmering up the mall.
I’ve always felt that “sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me” is bull twinky. I’ve been hurt by words most of my life. The title of this did bring to mind one of my favorite Bee Gees songs, though. “It’s only words, and words are all I have to take your heart away.” Not a bad earworm to get stuck in your head.
