“In three words I can sum up everything about life. It goes on.” …………….Robert Frost
(one of my favorite quotes, I’ve probably used it before and will probably use it again)
Change is constant.
Why get stuck on an event or a feeling and not let it go? It’s gone, it’s done, it’s over….and the world has moved on.
Take every opportunity to learn, grow, change, enlighten and live.
life is going on here, even with 15 inches of snow…
Life goes on. You never know who’ll you’ll meet, where you’ll go or what will happen. It’s an ongoing adventure.
You’re right, it’s important not to get stuck in our emotions, but some processing of them (especially negative feelings) must occur or else they’ll just fester under the surface and break out in unwanted ways. Love Priscilla of the Desert, by the way.
Some of the best advice I’ve heard in a while with one of my favorite movie clips. When I split up with my ex after 14 years. I was sad and torn for three days. Then snapped out of it. When asked didn’t I care, I replied life moves on…and it does indeed.
Staying in the same place is akin to wallowing in self pity and does nobody any good.
This too shall pass 😊
One of the five spokes in the Wheel of Mental Health is to keep learning.
One of my favorites goes something like this: No matter how good or how awful things are, if you wait a few minutes, they’ll be different.” Change is constant, whether we want it to be or not.
