Manifesting

Manifestation is a topic I can share a lot about. I’ve experienced it in my life. It has made a difference in my life as well.

I’ve always had an affinity for a mystical, magical side to life and I’ve always had a common sense voice in my head telling me that all must be achieved through hard work and planning. The two conflict at times. Common sense of common knowledge easily blocks my mystical & magical dreams.

Before I go on and on and make this a long boring post, I’ll get to what I’m thinking on the subject right now. I started reading a book yesterday that my business coach reccomended. It’s titled You2 by Price Pritchett. I’m only about a third of the way into it.

Yesterday what struck me is that we often get in the way of our own goals by getting caught up in how we are going to achieve them rather than focusing on the goal itself. We start focusing on the details and when an obstacle appears we focus on that, rather than the goal. Then the obstacle impedes our abilities and narrows our vision to see opportunity.

The example that brought it all together for me from Pritchett’s text is this: “Look at it this way–you’re not supposed to be concerned about what happens in the middle of the jump…you’re supposed to be thinking about where you are going to land!” Now stop and just think about that statement.

I’ve read, watched and sat through seminars where it has been pointed out to me to not focus on how I was going to achieve, but for some reason this statement took me a step further.

I can share many a story on manifesting great things in my life and I’m sure future posts will share a few of them as I go. Today I will just start with Pritchett’s simple example as a contemplation for myself, that I hope may resonate with you in some way as well.
